“Are you an innovator in foresight, working to shape or disrupt the future? If so, please register to apply for the Joseph Jaworski Next Generation Foresight Practitioners Award 2020, launching today. This is the third time that the School of International Futures is running the annual award established in 2018, that recognises the next generation’s endeavours in shaping the future. Apply by 31 May 2020 for a chance to win the main award – $15k plus attendance at our Summer strategic foresight retreat, mentoring and other benefits. This year, there are also up to two NEW $5k Walkabout prizes available, designed for 18-25 year olds. All applicants get invited to form part of the ongoing NGFP Sensing Network. And all the Special Awardees – the NGFP Fellows – will be invited to come together in Brussels (see this year’s event).
Who we want to support
When we look at the world, we see new foresight practitioners enabling their communities to collectively imagine their own futures. They are diverse voices that are effectively democratising the futures field.
The NGFP Award recognise those helping to shape the future and improve lives through innovative strategic foresight work and showcases their stories of accelerating and scaling change in their communities towards a positive future.
The award is open to new practitioners – people aged 18 – 35 or with less than 10 years’ experience – all over the world. The Award is about recognising the next ‘wave’ of foresight work – new approaches to the future that will help us to create change by doing different things today.”
