About the job
We are working with a research consultancy who blend Trend, Futures and Data. They combine their human expertise and consumer behaviour with technology, including their proprietary tool, to develop trends for businesses. They forecast future trends to eliminate uncertainty, optimise investment and power long term growth.
Over the past 20 years they have developed a strong and reoccurring global client base. Working with names such as Adidas, Facebook, Disney, BBC, Cancer Research UK, BMW to John Lewis. Projects look at the future of shopping, the importance of AR to future-proofing businesses for the post-COVID reality and more.
They are looking for a Director to be a key part of their Consultancy offering. Within this team, they commission huge projects which look into the future of the businesses. They help their clients to understand the social, political and economic trends that are likely to affect businesses and help them to work towards future contingency plans.
Projects tend to take 6 months and a huge amount of resource. We are looking for someone who can run these large futures consultancy projects, think strategically and create unique ways to solve complex and varying solutions. Ideally you will have 7+ years experience with Futures Theory and evidenced experience of strategic foresight led methodologies (horizon scanning, scenario planning, trend forecasting, consumer insight).
The role responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of large consultancy projects to selected clients in our global network across all sectors
- Managing project delivery teams
- Lead proposal development and writing for consultancy projects
- Senior stakeholder and audience management
- Oversee the implementation of activation roadmaps derived from project outputs, to convert consumer insights and business intelligence into required behavioural change across the client’s business
Ideally, you will have experience from a boutique Futures agency or a management consultancy, with skills in implementation and strategic thinking; working in a consultative approach to evolve their product portfolio.

- A base salary of up to £80k + £20k bonus
