Position Overview

As a 2024 Summer Intern within our Strategic Foresight team, you will join a diverse team of researchers, futurists, economists and strategists focused on having a positive impact with foresight. Through research, foresight techniques, and thought leadership cultivation, the team works with Autodesk leaders to help shape strategic visions that deliver value for Autodesk customers and Autodesk’s business. You’ll work across Autodesk’s three industries (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction; Product Design & Manufacturing; Media & Entertainment and get to help our customers create a better, safer, more sustainable world.

Responsibilities

  • Research signals of change, emerging forces, and existing trends
  • Analyze and synthesize diverse inputs to identify opportunities and risks for Autodesk and its customers
  • Use data, editorial and visual methods to construct compelling narratives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Strategic Foresight or related field, at a US university
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic foresight approaches and methods
  • Versatile research skills to perform research on technological and socioeconomic trends
  • Can weave together analysis and synthesis to discover new patterns and pick out the signal from the “noise”
  • Experience with signal scanning, scenario writing, and using the STEEP (Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental, and Political) framework
  • Impactful storyteller
  • Curious, constant learner who loves to share what they’ve uncovered with others
  • Positively contribute to team efforts but also manage time and complete tasks independently

About the US Intern Program

The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

  • $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
  • $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
  • $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
