g the APF Board. Daniel has over 11 years of experience in strategic foresight and previously spent more than 15 years in digital consulting. these two careers is his focus on connecting the dots between individual behaviors, social dynamics, and the technologies that enable them.
Daniel is the Foresight Learning Lead at NGFP, an initiative of SOIF, a Foresight Researcher at SOIF, and leads his own foresight practice at Plural Futures. His recent engagements include emerging tech research as part of EU Policy Lab’s work to help EIC prioritise innovation funding, and working with FAO to train government decision-makers on how to integrate spatial analysis, climate change forecasting, and strategic foresight for agri-food systems policy planning.
In digital consulting, Daniel last led the Asia office for a San Francisco-based consultancy with clients such as Microsoft, Kering, and Western Union, and later piloted a data science school in Jakarta. Daniel continues to explore digital technologies, with a focus on decentralizing technologies such as self-hosted cloud software, peer-to-peer networks, and open source knowledge management software at TheKancil.org.
