THE SG25 BOOK NOOK
In addition to our games room, artifact museum, and films, we’ll also have a book nook for all our foresight folks who have books/magazines/etc they’d like to share with the community! Just last week the Activation Lab helped launch Andy’s new book, ‘Imagining After Capitalism’ and you’ll be able to grab a copy when you join us for Spring Gathering! FUTURES COSTUMES: Don’t forget to pack your most futuristic + fun costumes for our Planetary Party experience on Friday night after our Living Lab! Hauson Le will be leading us through his personal possibility project, Planetary Party, an experience to cultivate the conditions for emergent partnership. This iteration leans into joy as energy for change. Those who join in can expect playfulness, role-play, and encountered dialogue – all in service of the Future of Futures!
ARTIFACTS: We’ll have a room dedicated to the Artifacts from the Past about the Future and we’d love to include your items so bring them along!
PHOTOS: We’re lining up a great slideshow full of 50 years’ worth of Houston friends. Send any pics over to Juli Rush to be included!
GAMES + FILMS: Come with your list of new + old fav futures films & games (or even better, bring some along!)
STORIES: Whether it’s by the pool, in one of our curated storytelling sessions, or maybe even while getting a foresight tattoo (rumor has it there might be a tattoo artist at the event?), we want you swapping stories from your time in the program + the field.
