The Journal of Futures Studies has awarded Houston Futures board member and former faculty Oliver Markley their inaugural Jan Lee Martin prize of 2011 for his essay titled “Research and Action toward the Upside of Down”.
The award was established by the late futurist Jan Lee Martin, reflecting her desire for futures studies to more effectively communicate futures theories, methods and approaches.
We’d like to thank Oliver for his many years teaching at the University of Houston, and of course, this pretigious award he was given. We always like to see our former faculty and leaders in the news. Great job, Oliver!!!
