What purposes do images of the future serve?
How are images of the future most effectively communicated?
How are images of the future constructed?
Next month, the students, staff, alumni, and friends of the Houston Foresight program will gather to discuss and debate these questions and more as they explore Images of the Future at the 2023 Spring Gathering. Here is the planned agenda:
Each year, Houston hosts an in-person gathering to provide a dedicated space in place and time to integrate the myriad paths, insights, and research represented by the Houston Foresight community.
This year, the Spring Gathering will take place April 21, 22, and 23. A welcome dinner will bring everyone together on Friday. Saturday’s presentations and workshops will take place at the University of Houston. The schedule includes program updates, introduction to the Topic and Advisory Boards, After Capitalism, AI-Generated Images, Restorying Futures, and two interactive futures games workshops. In the afternoon, attendees will hear from three current students about their recent projects. Following the presentations and workshops, the gathering will reconvene for dinner and socializing. Alumni are invited back to UH on Sunday morning for a refresher session and a deep dive into the core Framework Foresight methodology.
