Houston Foresight alumni and current student Karen Rosenthal and Donna Harris (respectively) were recently interviewed for the topic, the future of veterinary medicine. Mark Sackler (a futurist and member of the Association of Professional Futurists) owns the podcast Seeking Delphi and frequently has guest futurists to discuss specific topics.
Karen and Donna, both professional veterinarians, offer their perspective on how COVID has changed pet care in the short term and what are some potential long-term impacts. Additionally, they discuss telemedicine, the best applications of AI in vet medicine, among many other future-set disruptions.
Donna says “I enjoyed talking with Mark and am striving to make connections with APF members as I’m new to the industry. Mark’s wife is in the veterinary profession and he as a keen sense of the field so was easy to make connections with and promote the mindset of being a veterinary futurist. Anything I can do to help veterinarians become more future oriented, is part of my mission.”
